"A Premier Lancaster County community"
GETZ'S WOODS is an established planned community of 47 single family residences located off of Centerville & State Roads and between Harrisburg Pike and Marietta Avenue in East Hempfield Township. Since its opening in 1985 it has been widely recognized as "the" premier wooded development in Lancaster County attracting newlyweds, families, retirees, empty nesters and single persons. Members of the community have easy access to shopping, restaurants, hospitals, the health campus, and with its convenient location between routes 283 and 30-Lancaster, Hershey, Harrisburg, York and Reading. The Getz's Woods neighborhood is in the Hempfield School District, however, many secular and religious private schools are also nearby. The GW community has an active Homeowners Association that works to protect "the value and desirability of Getz's Woods" for all owners.
